Facility Services Sales Skills, Growth Management Guide, & The New ANSI Standards

This particular conference focused on the importance of best practices for textile sales personnel, a growth management guide, and the updated ANSI standards for the commercial matting industry. These sessions were tailored for sales associates, sales managers, service managers, and route supervisors. The sales portion of the summit outlined best practices for prospecting, demonstrations, and selling. Additionally, this session delivered current sales tools, tips for shortening the sales cycle, and many more essential topics.
The facility services planning and management subject emphasized realistic goal setting, highlighted a successful growth schedule, the importance of data, etc… The most important topic covered was preventing slips and falls with the addition of commercial matting products. Fred delivered a live demonstration that measured the slip resistance of flooring using the coefficient of friction as well as an outline of the updated ANSI standards.
TRSA 5th Annual Safety Summit

The TRSA Annual Safety summit, hosted in conjunction with the CSC Network, emphasized the importance of recognizing hazards to avoid worker’s compensation claims and lawsuits, assembled a panel of industry experts to share best practices, and much more.
At this conference, Fred covered the “ANSI B101.6-2012 Standard Guide for Commercial Entrance Matting in Reducing Slips, Trips, and Falls” and its implications on the commercial matting industry. The OSHA walking and working surfaces rules changes were also discussed in depth. Fred aimed to advice the summit attendees on the best practices for handling commercial mats in the factory as well as in service. The goal of his breakout session was to teach the audience the top safety tips to advise and educate their clients on the best ways to handle commercial mats.
